The American Construction Inspectors Association (ACIA) is now accepting speaker proposals for a newly developed program called Lunch & Learns.
The intent of these 60-minute Lunch & Learns is to gather construction inspectors, plan reviewers, code officials, engineers, and industry leaders from across the country for practical learning, professional development, and peer exchange.
We are seeking experienced professionals and emerging voices to present engaging, relevant, and forward-thinking sessions that reflect the evolving demands and best practices in construction inspection.
Suggested Topics Include:
• Updates and practical applications of IBC, IRC, and specialty codes
• Innovations in inspection tools and technology (e.g., drones, mobile apps)
• Building safety, quality assurance, and risk management
• Accessibility, energy codes, and green building inspections
• Structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing inspections
• Navigating permitting, plan review, and enforcement challenges
• Workforce development and training in the inspection field
• Legal issues and ethical considerations in code enforcement
• Real-world case studies, failures, and lessons learned
Please submit the following:
• Presentation title
• Abstract (150–250 words)
• Session type and preferred length
• Speaker bio and credentials
• Key learning objectives (2–3)
