John Zalepka is the Senior Manager of Engagement and Programs at Specified Technologies Inc. and is responsible for the accreditation and maintenance of all continuing education and training programs, including the widely specified Firestop Instructional Training (FIT) and all AIA modules. Previously as a Territory Manager in New York City, he worked in the trenches alongside contractors and brought this real-world experience into the classroom. John is also a professional keynote speaker, member of the National Speakers Association and internationally recognized as a Distinguished Toastmaster.
Aaron Johnson
IFC, Executive Director
Aaron has more than twenty years of fire protection, life safety, and code compliance experience. He started his career in the fire service, moving his way through the ranks to Fire Marshal. Aaron currently serves as Executive Director of the International Firestop Council, where he leads efforts to promote fire and smoke containment in building construction through research, education, development of safety standards, testing, and code provisions. His commitment to improving fire protection and safety in the built environment is central to his work, helping to shape policies and raise awareness of the vital role firestopping plays in preventing the spread of fire and smoke.
